An effort is under way to renew and enhance the Chapel of the Resurrection, which for more than half a century has stood as a central symbol of Lutheran character and mission at Valparaiso University.
The Chapel of the Resurrection Fundraising Initiative: Our Future in Faith is an undertaking designed to prepare the chapel for dynamic ministry in the years ahead. According to President Mark A. Heckler Ph.D., the Chapel of the Resurrection stands "as the centerpiece of campus and the heart of worship, service, leadership, and reconciliation for the campus community."

There are eight services a week at the Chapel when school is in session. Morning Prayer is offered for twenty minutes Monday through Friday, with a different style each day. Monday Morning Prayer is Core 5th Hour approved.
Also, Wednesdays check out Prayer & Praise at 5:30 p.m. with Monique Nunes, a time of Bible study, prayer, music, praise dancing and more. It meets in the Helge Center Multipurpose Room.
The annual Advent Christmas Vespers for 2015 will be Friday, Dec. 11, at 7 and 10 p.m. at the Chapel of the Resurrection. This year's theme is "Heaven and Nature Sing." There is no charge to attend, but free tickets are required for seating. Request your tickets beginning Nov. 2nd.
