Building Hours: The building is open to the public 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Valpo students can access the Chapel by swipecard until 11 p.m. The Chapel will be closed for cleaning and repairs later this summer. (Dates to be announced.)

An effort is under way to renew and enhance the Chapel of the Resurrection, which for more than half a century has stood as a central symbol of Lutheran character and mission at Valparaiso University.
The Chapel of the Resurrection Fundraising Initiative: Our Future in Faith is an undertaking designed to prepare the chapel for dynamic ministry in the years ahead. According to President Mark A. Heckler Ph.D., the Chapel of the Resurrection stands "as the centerpiece of campus and the heart of worship, service, leadership, and reconciliation for the campus community."
Offices for Chapel staff have been relocated to the Kathleen and Mark Helge Center, adjacent to the Chapel. To reserve space for either the Chapel or Helge Center, contact Deb Garbukas, (219) 464-5093.
This Sunday, May 29, worship is at 8:30 a.m. in the Valparaiso University Center for the Arts, Room 1519. The Rev. Dr. George C. Heider will preach and preside.

Sunday worship in the summer (May 22-Aug. 7) will be at 8:30 a.m. in the VU Center for the Arts, Room 1519 (Bauer Hall), which is air conditioned and handicap accessible.
The Chapel will also offer a 20-minute communion service Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m., May 18-Aug. 10, in the Harre Union's Grand View Lounge.
The Chapel of the Resurrection will be closed some days over the summer for cleaning and repairs. More information on exact dates will be provided soon.
