SALT, BROs reach out to community

Members of SALT, the Social Action Leadership Team, and BRO, Brothers Reaching Out, are reaching out to help the greater Valparaiso community in the coming weeks.

BRO members are invited to participate in a Habitat for Humanity service event on Saturday, Sept. 21, in which a house is being built for a family in need. To participate, meet at 8:30 a.m. outside Alumni Hall. The event is from 9 a.m. to noon, with lunch following.

SALT members will meanwhile be participating in the VU Day of Caring, partnering with United Way of Porter County. In addition, SALT members are forming a team for Relay for Life Oct. 5-6 and are involved with the local CROP Walk, Oct. 13.

BRO is a men's ministry with a vision to build community, live with integrity, and create devotion.  For more information about BRO, contact Cogan Blackmon

SALT is the Spirit-led social justice ministry of the Chapel of the Resurrection.
