Joel is currently serving as the Integrated Communications Director at Salem Lutheran Church, a 165 year-old church in Tomball, Texas – a PLI mentor congregation. Prior to his current role at Salem, he was the Programming Director of Worship Arts. In a big move to consolidate teams, he became the Director of Worship & Integrated Communications – joining the separate teams focusing on Worship / Production / IT / Communications teams into one team.
He has spent significant time on staff teams of two (2) growing and dynamic churches… creating a new culture in one and being a change agent in another. He can see the challenges our church is facing through the eyes of an experienced church leader – serving on the inside – with experience across the spectrum.
His desire is to help Lutheran churches achieve the mission God has placed before them.
It is his PASSION to help churches around the country re-discover their passion as the church and live out a newly focused vision to work WITH God to reach His people.
