Our Sunday evening Candlelight service is a close-of-the-day event and another occasion to connect with friends before and after worship. It begins at 10 p.m. every Sunday when classes are in session. Candlelight features Holden Evening Prayer, moving music sung by candlelight. Even if you are unfamiliar with the music, you'll quickly learn your part. Come and experience it Sundays at 10 p.m. in the Main Chapel! All are welcome!
Pastor Charlene Cox is the main speaker for Candlelight.
Here are the themes for the upcoming weeks:
Revive: Old Words – New Ways
They are often called “church words.” They are a regular part of a Christian vocabulary, but what do they mean? How do they intersect with Christian thoughts, words, and actions? In short, do they matter anymore? Over the last nine Sundays of this semester, “Revive” – a sermon series at Candlelight -- will consider these “old words” in “new ways” and draw us once again into the life-giving power that they have for the journey of faith.
