In 2015, four College of Engineering alumni from the Class of 2013 were awarded a patent for their senior design project.
Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society, regularly honors Valpo students as Tau Beta Pi Laureates — an honor bestowed on a maximum of five students in the nation each year.
In 2014, seven College of Business students participated in the Future Business Leaders of America National Competition, earning four National Champions and seven overall top 10 finishers.
Since 2002, more than 170 students in Christ College — The Honors College have had their undergraduate research selected for presentation at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), the largest, most competitive, and most prestigious venue for undergraduate scholarship in the United States.
The Lighter, Valpo's student literary journal, has been recognized by the Indiana College Press Association as Literary Magazine of the Year for two years in a row.
