Office of the Provost / Vice President for Academic Affairs
Administrative responsibilities for the academic programs at Valparaiso University reside in the Office of the Provost. Dr. Roy Austensen is provost and vice president for academic affairs and Dr. Renu Juneja is associate provost.

Dr. Roy Austensen, Provost
The provost serves in a position similar to that of a chief operating officer in the corporate setting and functions as the chief executive officer in the absence of the president. In addition to providing leadership for the academic program, the provost has oversight for three vice presidents: administration and finance; admission, financial aid and marketing; and student affairs.
The major academic units at Valparaiso University are:

- College of Nursing – Dr. Janet Brown, dean
