Valparaiso University is a selective private, independent Lutheran institution founded in 1859. Valpo’s 320-acre campus is located in Valparaiso, Ind., population 31,000, in Northwest Indiana, one hour southeast of Chicago. Approximately 3,000 undergraduates and 1,100 graduate and law students attend Valpo, making a total of nearly 4,100 students on campus from most states and more than 40 other countries.
