You’re Invited to Experience Valpo

Congratulations on your Admission to Valparaiso University. We invite you and your parents to campus for a day and a half of exploration of Valpo’s campus life and academic opportunities.

Typical Admitted Student Days Program

You’ll spend time with future Valpo students and meet our dedicated faculty and staff. We’ve designed this visit to give you a feel for what it is like to live and learn at Valpo.

Student Schedule

Day One
5:30 p.m. Check-in with your overnight gear. Have dinner with the other admitted students and student hosts as a group. After dinner, grab your bags and head to the residence hall.
Day Two
8 – 11 a.m. Business, Engineering, and Nursing programs are held during this time. Arts and Sciences students have a class/faculty appointment scheduled in their area of interest.
11:10 -11:50 a.m. Morning Break choices, such as:

  • Chapel — daily student-led worship service
  • Campus Tour (until 12:10 p.m.)
  • Student Life and FOCUS Orientation Q&A (for students only)
Noon – 1 p.m. Interest Session choices, such as:

  • Study Abroad
  • Career Center
Noon – 1 p.m. Lunch in dining hall
1 p.m. Homeward bound (optional campus tour offered again)

Parent Schedule

Day One
5:30 p.m. Check-in with students. Enjoy dinner with the other admitted students’ parents, current students and staff. A Q&A panel for parents follows, ending by 7:30 p.m.
Day Two
9:30 – 10 a.m. FAFSA Info/Financial Aid Session
10:05 -10:45 a.m. Panel Session with University Representatives
10:45 – 11 a.m. Coffee break
11:10 -11:50 a.m. Morning Break choices, such as:

  • Chapel — daily student-led worship service
  • Campus Tour (until 12:10 p.m.)
  • Book Center
Noon – 12:30 p.m. Interest Session choices, such as:

  • Study Abroad
  • Career Center
Noon – 1 p.m. Lunch in dining hall
1 p.m. Homeward bound (optional campus tour offered again)
