You’re Invited to Experience Valpo

Congratulations on your Admission to Valparaiso University. We invite you and your parents to campus to explore over two days Valpo’s campus life and academic opportunities.

Typical Admitted Student Days Program

You’ll spend time with future Valpo students and meet our dedicated faculty and staff. We’ve designed this visit to give you a feel for what it is like to live and learn at Valpo.

Student Schedule

Day One
5:30 p.m. Check-in with your overnight gear. Have dinner with the other admitted students and student hosts as a group. After dinner, grab your bags and head to the residence hall.
Day Two
8 – 10 a.m. Business, Engineering, and Nursing programs are held during this time. Arts and Sciences students have a class/faculty appointment scheduled in their area of interest.
10:00 -10:20 a.m. Morning Break choices, such as:
  • Chapel — daily student-led morning prayer service
  • Career Center open house
  • Gandhi-King Center open house
10:30 -11:00 a.m. Interest Sessions, such as:
  • Study Abroad
  • FOCUS Orientation/Student life panel
  • Christ College
11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Campus Tours and Lunch in Founders Table
1:30 p.m. Homeward bound (optional campus tour offered again)

Parent Schedule

Day One
5:30 p.m. Check-in with your student. Enjoy dinner with the other admitted students’ parents, current students and staff. A Q&A panel for parents follows, ending by 7:30 p.m.
Day Two
9:15 – 9:45 a.m. FAFSA Information & Financial Aid Session
9:45 – 10:00 a.m. Coffee Break with Admission Counselors
10:00 – 10:20 a.m. Morning Break choices, such as:
  • Chapel — daily student-led morning prayer service
  • Career Center open house
  • Gandhi-King Center open house
10:30-11:00 a.m. Interest Sessions, such as:
  • Study Abroad
  • Panel of University Representatives
  • Book Center
11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Campus Tours and Lunch in Founders Table
1:30 p.m. Homeward bound (optional campus tour offered again)

Advance registration is required; overnight accommodations are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
