We invite high school and transfer students to schedule a personal visit to Valparaiso University!
Personal visits are available during the academic year most Mondays through Fridays and begin at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., or 1 p.m. Central Time (we are in the same time zone as Chicago). This schedule continues through Tues., May 16.
Personal visits during the summer are available Mondays through Fridays at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Central Time. This schedule begins Wed., May 17, and continues through Fri., August 18. The University is closed for Memorial Day (May 29) and Independence Day (July 4).
If weather does not permit a walking campus tour, our tour guides will provide you with a virtual tour.
Your personalized visit includes:
- A campus tour
- A meeting with an admission counselor
Appointments with faculty (not available during the summer) are limited to high school seniors and transfer students upon request.
You may purchase lunch (cash or credit card) in the Cafe or Founders Table in the Harre Union.
If you wish to meet with one of our NCAA-Division I coaches, contact the coach directly to schedule an appointment.
Spanish Language Options

Tours of the University may be available in Spanish, if requested in advance. You may also request the assistance of a bilingual interpreter. Please call the Office of Undergraduate Admission to schedule these services in advance.

To arrange your personal visit, contact us two weeks before your arrival so we can schedule a visit that suits your needs; less than two weeks could mean the date and time you desire is already filled to capacity.
If emailing, do so two weeks in advance and include the following:
- address, city, state, and zip
- daytime phone number
- year of graduation & name of high school
- academic interest
- date & time of visit, if known
