We invite high school and transfer students to schedule a personal visit to Valparaiso University!

Personal visits are available during the academic year most Mondays through Fridays and begin at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., or 1 p.m. Central Time (we are in the same time zone as Chicago). If weather does not permit a walking campus tour, our tour guides will provide you with a virtual tour.

Your personalized visit includes:

  • A campus tour
  • A meeting with an admission counselor

Appointments with faculty (when the University is in session) are limited to high school seniors and transfer students upon request.

You may purchase lunch (cash or credit card) in the Cafe or Founders Table in the Harre Union.

If you wish to meet with one of our NCAA-Division I coaches, contact the coach directly to schedule an appointment.

Due to high demand, personal visits are only available at 2:00 p.m. on the following dates: March 28, 29, 30, 31, as the other visit times those days are filled to capacity. We do not host personal visitors on March 27 and April 10, Valpo’s Admitted Student Days.

Spanish Language Options

También se puede hacer cita con un interprete bilingüe, si le ayudaría a Ud. utilizar ese servicio.

Tours of the University are offered in Spanish, if requested. You may also request the assistance of a bilingual interpreter .

Please call the Office of Undergraduate Admission to schedule these services in advance.

Special Accommodations

Please let us know when scheduling your visit if you need special accommodations for your campus tour.

Schedule Your Visit

To arrange your personal visit, contact us two weeks before your arrival so we can schedule a visit that suits your needs; less than two weeks could mean the date and time you desire is already filled to capacity.

Personal visits are only available at 2:00 on these dates: March 28, 29, 30, 31; high demand already filled the earlier start times on these days.

If emailing, do so two weeks in advance and include the following:

  • name
  • address, city, state, and zip
  • daytime phone number
  • year of graduation & name of high school
  • academic interest
  • date & time of visit, if known
