Dr. Kraig Olejniczak, dean of Valparaiso University's College of Engineering, recently was named by the Indiana Society of Professional Engineers as winner of its 2009 Engineer of the Year Award in honor of his dedication to advancing the profession through engineering education.

Valpo Bowling Program Brings on Washington as Assistant Coach

Valparaiso bowling head coach Stephen Anthony announced today that Shon Washington has been hired as an assistant coach and will begin his duties August 1. Washington comes to Valpo having had much success as a coach both on the high school and collegiate levels.

Crusaders Add Marquette Transfer to 2009 Roster

Valparaiso men’s soccer head coach Mike Avery announced today that Sam Etim (Rockford, Ill./Guilford) has transferred into the Crusader program from Marquette. Etim, a 5’11”, 190 lb. striker, will have two years of eligibility remaining at the start of the 2009 campaign.
