More than twenty Valpo Clubs exist around the country to help you keep your ties to Valpo alive through connections in your local community. Alumni, parents, Guild members and friends of the University work together to plan Valpo activities in each area. A number of clubs are new this year and are seeking volunteers to help get things rolling, and existing clubs are always in search of new volunteers and leaders. Homecoming and Reunion Celebration 2013 will take place September 27-29. We hope you will mark your calendars now and plan to attend! Watch your mailbox this summer for the official brochure of the weekend, and watch the web for updates as they become available. Alumni with class years ending in 3 and 8 will celebrate reunions.
Tickets for the May 17th NCAA regional tournament are currently on sale via host University of Michigan's ticketing website or by calling Michigan's ticket office at 866.296.6849.
Making its second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance in as many years, the Valparaiso softball team will head to Michigan for the Ann Arbor Regional of the 2013 NCAA Softball Tournament. Valpo will open regional play against the host Wolverines, the eighth seed nationally, at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, live on ESPN3.com.
The men's golf team and men's basketball teams also proceeded to their respective NCAA tournaments this year.
The Valparaiso men’s golf team will make its NCAA Division I Golf Championships debut in nearby Columbus, Ohio. The Crusaders are one of 13 teams selected to play the regional hosted by Ohio State on May 16-18. The 54-hole tournament will be contested on the Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University Golf Club.
