BRAD PIERCE ’99 graduated as a marketing major from Valparaiso University, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a minor in graphic design. He has held positions within a trio of marketing and design firms in Chicago since graduation, wherein he has served as an account and project manager for a dynamic portfolio of clients including Walgreens, IBM, the Chicago Park District, and Motorola. In addition to holding leadership roles within the philanthropic organizations Chicago Cares Inc., the Friends of the Parks/Late Ride & Parks Ball, and the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, Pierce has been active in promoting and supporting his alma mater for more than a decade. Upon graduation in 1999, he served as the alumni chapter adviser for Delta Sigma Pi, a national business fraternity, a position that he held until 2001. At that time, he became the chair of the Valpo Club of Chicago, an organization that he currently serves as a highly effective leader, not only planning and overseeing quarterly planning meetings, but also coordinating more than a dozen annual gatherings, including Jazz at the Polo Cafe, an event that has become a tradition for many Chicago-area alumni. Pierce also continuously recruits new members of the Valpo alumni population into the chapter's fold. From 2002 to 2008, Pierce served as a member of the Valparaiso University Alumni Association Board of Directors, a position that enabled him to serve on the planning committee for the university's 150th Anniversary Celebration in Chicago.
