Laura (Rakow ’93)
Brothers earned her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Valparaiso
University and her J.D. from Vanderbilt
University Law School
in 1996. She is currently working as a
member in the corporate and securities practice group with Bass, Berry &
Sims, PLC in Nashville, Tenn.
She is the current chair of their entry level hiring committee and the former chair
of their women’s initiative. Brothers
also is a volunteer with the Youth About Business Advanced Summer Business
Camp. She has been a member of the
Valparaiso University Guild since 1996 and also served on the Valparaiso
University Alumni Association Board of Directors from 2003 to 2010, holding a
number of leadership roles, including secretary, treasurer and first vice president. She and her husband, Jay, live in Nashville,
Tenn. with their two daughters.
