granted to persons who are not alumni, but who exemplify the ideals of achievement and service in their association with the University.

Dawn Rickman is a graduate of Mundelein High School and has a Retail Management Certificate from Robert Morris Chicago.  She and her husband, Michael ’84, have been very committed to supporting Valparaiso University in many capacities.  She was involved with the Valparaiso University Guild while living in Cincinnati and served as an area director.  She has hosted many local events in Cincinnati and Cleveland and assisted with the Cleveland celebration of Valpo’s 150^th anniversary. Rickman has been a member of the Valpo Admission Network (VAN) for the past several years and represented Valpo last year at the Shanghai Concordia International School’s college fair.  She and her husband are fans of Valpo basketball and travel to many locations to watch the Crusaders.  She and Michael are currently living in Shanghai, China
