Carolyn (Altobelli ’73) Hanes

Carolyn HanesCarolyn (Altobelli ’73) Hanes received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history.  She also earned her MBA in finance at Loyola University in Chicago in 1981.  Her successful career has spanned 34 years in the banking industry.  She is currently a vice president with Bank of America in South Barrington, Ill.  She has received both the award of excellence and the west division leader award from the Bank of America.  Hanes has stayed connected with Valparaiso University through the Guild and has been a member since 1981.  She has served in previous years as the Guild national treasurer and the chair of the scholarship committee.  In 2010, she served as the chair of the Guild Board of Directors and served on the Lutheran University Association Board of Directors.  Hanes’ parents both graduated from Valpo, where she also met her husband, Stephen ’73.  They were married in the Chapel of the Resurrection.
