Ann (Fields ’65) Trost

Ann TrostAnn (Fields ’65) Trost earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Valparaiso University.  From 1965 to 1967 she did graduate work toward her Ph.D. at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She then came to Valparaiso and taught part-time in the department of sociology from 1968 to 1969.  In 1977, Trost started working in the geography, history and political science departments at Valpo.  She then moved to the University’s registrar’s office, starting as a degree auditor/transcript analyst until she was promoted to the University registrar position in 1985, which she held until her retirement in 2010.  She has been a member and held various titles in the Indiana Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, the American Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Officers, the Indiana Association for Institutional Research and was a member of the Datatel Users Group.  She also is very active in her church, serving through the years as treasurer, vice president and president.  She and her husband, Albert ’62, live in Valparaiso
