VU Radio Station Named Best in the State
For the second time in three years, Valparaiso University’s student-operated radio station was named Radio School of the Year and won several other awards from the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters.
WVUR 95.1 FM, which also received the honor in 2006, competed against radio stations representing more than 20 colleges and universities in Indiana.
The Radio School of the Year award is given to the radio station that demonstrates excellence across its programming.
The station also earned a third place award for station imaging, and several students received individual awards.
