This bright young man is getting a head start on a career by being selected from among thousands of applicants to receive a prestigious Governor Bob Orr Indiana Entrepreneurial Fellowship. The program is designed to develop future entrepreneurs and organizational leaders. Orr Fellows work closely for two years with company executives in some of the most entrepreneurial, progressive, and fast-paced organizations in the state. Pampel is joining 2007 CC graduate and Orr Fellow Mark Reddel at Angie’s List, an Indianapolis-based company that specializes in providing consumer rating services on a wide variety of businesses in major cities throughout the United States. Fellows also plan community service and philanthropic projects, and meet monthly with distinguished Indiana business leaders.
Pampel was a member of Valparaiso’s “Ethics Bowl” team, where he debated significant moral issues and dilemmas in regional and national intercollegiate competitions. He was a TA in the CC Freshman Program, and deployed his writing skills by working at Valparaiso’s Writing Center, as editorial assistant for The Spillikin, and as an intern with the Northwest Indiana Times. Throughout his undergraduate career he demonstrated his capacity for leadership through his involvement in several campus organizations, including the English honors society, the Social Action Leadership Team, the Office of Admission, and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
