The Valparaiso University baseball and softball teams may be playing near you during their upcoming spring break travels.

Softball

The softball team will be competing in a tournament at Charleston Southern University, in Charleston, S.C., March 1 - 3. Valpo will take on UNC Wilmington on Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m., and will compete against CSU on Sunday, March 3 at 1 p.m. For more information about the tournament, or for tickets, call the CSU ticket office at 843-863-7213.

March 8 - 10 will find the Crusaders in DeLand, Fla. for the Stetson Classic. They will play a double-header on Friday, March 8, taking on Fairleigh Dickinson at 10 a.m. and Colgate at 12:30 p.m.  On Saturday, March 9, they will compete against Colgate again at 10 a.m., and against Stetson at 3 p.m.  Sunday's games will be determined by the outcome of the other games. On Wednesday, March 13, they will play two games in Fort Myers, Fla. against Maine at 1:30 p.m. and Florida Gulf Coast University at 6 p.m. For information or tickets, call the FGSU ticket office at 239-590-7145.

Their tournament schedule will conclude Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17 in Clearwater, Fla. at the University of South Florida Spring Invitational. The Crusaders will take on Temple at 12:15 p.m. Friday, and will play a double header on Saturday against Iowa State at 10 a.m. and Maryland at 3 p.m. Sunday they will take on Cornell at 10:45 a.m. For information or tickets, contact the USF ticket office at 813-974-3002.

Baseball

The baseball team will also be traveling to Florida during spring break, kicking things off at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla. March 2 - 6. They will play five morning games throughout the tournament. Learn more at the tournament website.

The Crusaders then will take on the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla. for a three game series March 8 - 10. They will play at 6 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. Saturday, and Noon Sunday. For information or tickets, contact the USF ticket office at 813-974-3002.

The baseball team's spring break travels will conclude March 12 - 16 at the Russmatt Invitational in Winter Haven, Fla. They will take on Navy, Yale, Bucknell, UAB, and Miami (Ohio). For more information, visit the tournament website.
