A Message from Dean Janet Brown
There is more to nursing education than didactic and clinical instruction. It is important for students to be socialized as professionals and understand the vocation of nursing. Over the past several months, we have hosted a number of events to augment student learning. A few of these are the Pharmaceutical Workshop for Advance Practice Nurses, the annual Congregational Health Workshop, and a presentation by Sen. Hillary Clinton’s senior health policy adviser. Staff nurses especially helpful to students were honored. Next year will mark the 40th anniversary of the college. I hope you will join us as we celebrate this important milestone and recognize the many accomplishments of our alumni. Mark your calendars now for Feb. 7, 2009. You won’t want to miss this phenomenal event.
