A member of the College of Nursing’s National Council since 2005, Vie works for Johnson & Johnson as a sales manager in medical device for minimally invasive surgery. She also serves as a member of the Executive Club of Chicago Professional Committee and the Young Leaders Committee.

“My education at Valpo has assisted me in being successful in my current position as a J&J sales manager in medical devices,” Vie said. “Personally, it has given me critical thinking skills and also has enabled me to be an instrument of healing to my family in their time of need. I know that my faith in God has been enhanced through my education at Valpo, and I wish the same for others who want to pursue nursing—a much-needed occupation.”

As a volunteer, she gives back by being active in community service and medical mission work in Honduras through the Church World Outreach organization.

“It gives me a much greater perspective on the needs of others and how a few people can change the lives of many,” Vie said. “I have gotten back so much more than I have given.”
