Painting & Drawing

Art/Psych Room 18

Sarah Jantzi holds a BA in Medical Illustration from Indiana University in 1998 and an MFA in Painting from American University in 2002 where she studied under Don Kimes and Stanley Lewis among others. Although she is a terrible gardener, she loves plants and has made them the subject of her paintings and drawings for over 13 years.  The forms in Sarah's work reflect her observations of the rhythms in nature, her love of lines, and her internal narratives and perceptions of the human experience.  She has exhibited work in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kansas, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, and Italy.  Sarah Jantzi has taught undergraduate studio classes in painting, drawing, and design at Valparaiso University since 2004.  Sarah lives with her husband Kevin in Valparaiso, IN.
