General Submission, Presentation & Publication Requirements

All authors are invited to submit to the 2009 ASEE Illinois/Indiana Section Conference at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana, March 27-28.

Session presentations require submittal and acceptance of a paper. As noted by the above schedule, abstracts will first be reviewed to identify promising presentations. Acceptance of an abstract will be followed by submittal and review of a paper, registration by at least one author for the meeting, and presentation at the meeting. More detailed work may be favored by the review committee in their final recommendations.

Submission

Authors will need to identify which topics are most relevant to their paper during the abstract submission process. Authors are also strongly encouraged to share timely work even if the work does not appear to be a good fit for any of the sessions.

Submit the abstract by attaching it to an email, and sending it to Doug.Tougaw@valpo.edu. Abstracts should generally be between 250 and 500 words.

Presentation

In order for a presentation of a paper to take place at the meeting, at least one author of each accepted paper must register for the meeting no later than March 13, 2009

If no author for an accepted paper has registered by March 13, 2009, the paper cannot be presented at the meeting. The paper will also be removed from its assigned session, the final Program, and the Proceedings CD-Rom.

Publication

Manuscripts should follow the guidelines that will be outlined in this website and submitted electronically via email by January 23, 2009.   These links will be found under Author's Information on our main menu.  Authors may expect reviewer comments by February 23, 2009.

Revised manuscripts received by the March 9, 2009 deadline and in final form, which have addressed the concerns of the reviewers, will be included in a CD-ROM, provided that at least one author has registered for the conference by the March 9th deadline. The proceedings CD-ROM will be distributed at the conference to those attendees who have paid the full registration price.
