One of the top players in the Mid-Continent Conference, Jeanette Gray excelled on the hardwood for Valparaiso.

A two-time All Mid-Con selection, including a First Team pick in 2002-2003, Gray helped lead Valparaiso to its first two postseason appearances ever.  A three-time team captain, she helped the Crusaders advance to the quarterfinals of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament as a junior, and then led Valpo to its first NCAA Tournament appearance as a senior.  In the WNIT quarterfinals against Houston, Gray tied the school’s single game record with eight steals.

A two-time Academic All-District V selection, Gray ranks third all-time at Valpo in scoring and rebounding with 1,460 points and 766 career boards.  Her scoring total is 15th best in Mid-Continent Conference history and she ranks 10th in rebounding.  Twice a member of the Mid-Con’s All-Tournament Team, she ranks fourth all-time at Valpo in steals and 11th in assists.  The 2003 Valparaiso University Female Athlete of the Year, Gray was also a three-time member of the Mid-Con’s All-Academic Team.
