Rain Postpones Valpo-Chicago State Tennis

Persistent drizzle throughout the afternoon on Wednesday prevented the courts from completely drying, and, after a rain delay of more than an hour, both the men's and women's tennis matches between Valparaiso and Chicago State slated for the Valparaiso University Tennis Complex have been postponed.

No makeup date for either match has been determined at this time.

Valparaiso's men's team (2-8) will next head to Dayton, Ohio on Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. CDT match against the Flyers of Dayton.

The Crusader women's team (6-7), having been idle since March 15, will not return to the courts until April 5 when Valpo opens Mid-Continent Conference play in Las Vegas, Nev. against Oral Roberts. First serve is set for 4 p.m. CDT. Valpo carries a 30-match regular season conference winning streak dating back to 2003 into the match against the Golden Eagles.
