Two Crusaders Earn All-Conference Honors

Steve Bartholomew (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township) and Eric Smith (Portage, Ind./Portage) have received All Mid-Continent Conference accolades for their respective performances at the Mid-Con Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Bartholomew earned the conference honors, the third such honor of his career, after finishing second in the weight throw. The junior recorded a personal-best and school-record effort in the event of 60'8 ¾" for the runner-up finish. Bartholomew also placed sixth in the shot put with a toss of 46'4 ¼".

Smith received his first All-Conference award after placing third in the shot put. The senior earned the podium finish with a toss of 46'9 ½", while also finishing eighth in the weight throw with an effort of 48'8 ¾".
