Adam Piaskowy
Assistant Coach
One of the fastest runners in Crusader history, Adam Piaskowy is in his third season under Mike Straubel as an assistant coach for the Valpo men’s and women’s cross country teams. He also serves an as assistant coach for the Crusader track and field squads.
Piaskowy spent four seasons with both the Valpo men’s cross country and track teams, running the third-fastest 10K in program history during his senior season.
During that senior year, Piaskowy earned Second Team All-Conference honors by finishing 12th at the Mid-Continent Conference Championships. The Crete, Ill. native also posted top 10 finishes at the Crusader Invitational and Evansville Invitational that season.
Piaskowy ran his career-best 10K at the 2004 NCAA Great Lakes Regional Meet, covering the course in 33:15.1, slower all-time than only Aaron Crague and Nate Iben, and the fastest time since Crague’s 31:56.4 in 2001.
In 2005, Piaskowy earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Valparaiso.
