Bob Brooks returns for his fourth season as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Valpo Athletics. Brooks began his work at Valpo in 1994 as a part-time consultant for the Crusader baseball team.
A well-decorated bodybuilder, Brooks was the Indiana State Powerlifting Champion from 1991-93, 1993 Mr. Illinois Bodybuilding champion and 1993 Mr. Midwest Bodybuilding champion. In 1996, Brooks again was honored, this time as the Mr. Tri-State Bodybuilding champion.
Brooks worked as a Fitness Trainer at Southlake Nautilus from 1989-92 before moving to Matchpoint Tennis and Fitness Center, where he served a Fitness Director from 1992-94. After working as Fitness Director at Powerhouse Gym and a personal trainer at Omni 41 Sports Complex, Brooks became General Manager and co-owner of Gold's Gym in Merrillville, Indiana.
Bob and his wife Katrice currently live in Hobart with their two dogs, Dorian and Sosa.
