Chevonne Epperson is in her first season as an assistant coach for Valparaiso, working primarily with the hurdlers and sprinters.

Epperson ran collegiately at Ball State, where she helped the Cardinals to the Mid-American Conference indoor championship in 2001.  She recorded top-ten finishes in the high jump at the 2001 indoor and 2002 outdoor MAC championship meets, and was also a member of the Ball State record-setting shuttle hurdle relay team.

A 2004 graduate of Ball State with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and wellness, Epperson is currently working on her master’s in sports administration at Valparaiso.  Epperson currently holds her USATF Level I Coaching Certification.  In addition to her coaching duties, Epperson also serves as the Athletic Director at the Cedar Lake branch of the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Indiana.
