Daniel Amling
Assistant Coach
Daniel Amling is in his first season as an assistant coach at Valparaiso. Amling has previously served as a volunteer assistant for Coach Schneider with the Crusader team. Amling, who currently works as a chemist at the Burns Harbor facility of ArcelorMittal, USA, brings a vast coaching background with him, as he has previously coached basketball and baseball at the high school level. Amling attended LSU for two years before transferring to Purdue University, where he volunteered as a football manager and lettered three years. He graduated with bachelor’s degrees in biology and secondary science education in 1990. A Valparaiso native, Amling and his wife, Suzanne, have four children, Jessica (17), Megan (14), Michael (11), and Eric (8).
