Laura Conner joined the Valparaiso staff as a certified athletic trainer in August of 2007. She works with Valpo’s women’s basketball program as well as softball and cross country.
Conner arrived at Valpo after working with the United States Olympic Committee in Chula Vista, California as an athletic training fellow for the 2006-2007 season. While there she worked with a variety of sports helping with injury prevention and evaluation. She also developed treatment and rehabilitation programs and maintained records of the athletes.
She also worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of North Carolina from 2004-2006 and as an athletic training student at Iowa State University from 2001-2004.
Conner is a 2004 graduate of Iowa State with a degree in exercise and sport science: athletic training. She completed her master’s degree at North Carolina in the same field in 2006.
