Pierre Zado

Graduate Assistant - Strength & Conditioning

Pierre Zado joined the Valparaiso swimming and diving program prior to the 2005-2006 season and serves at the team’s strength and conditioning coach. Zado arrived at Valpo from Orange County, California where he spent three years as a football and basketball coach for the City of Newport Beach recreation league. In his final season, 2003, his team finished in second place in the Orange County Football Championships. In 2004, he became an assistant football coach for the Newport-Mesa Junior All-American Football Team. In addition to coaching, Zado conducted strength and speed workouts for local athletes interested in playing sports at the collegiate level. Prior to coaching, Zado played semiprofessional rugby with the Hautapu Rugby Football Club in Cambridge, New Zealand. Zado graduated from the University of Southern California in 2000 with a degree in economics. While at USC, Zado played three years of football as a defensive back. Zado is currently working on his JD/MBA degrees at Valpo.
