A photograph of our JEOL 35-CF scanning electron microscope.
This microscope is quite "user friendly," and it is equipped with
a digital scan generator. This scan generator allows the microscope
operator to collect the images in a digital format, and then
to send them directly to a 500 mHz PentiumIII equipped computer
for analysis.
This microscope
is used extensively in
our Bio 360 (Modern Microscopy) course
as well as by students carrying out mentored research projects.
