Application Engineer. Job Description : Bosch Rexroth Corp., Pleasanton, CA division has an immediate opportunity for a pro- active, self motivated professional Application Engineer to join our growing team. The candidate for electric drives and controls will support Semiconductor, Solar, Electronics and Medical customers located primarily in the West; CA, WA, OR, MO, NV. Candidate will be the technical liaison with customers as well as supporting the local sales effort. Basic Functions: properly apply BRC products for the Semiconductor Medical Industries such as the NYCe4000, Indra Drive, and IndraLogic within customer machines. Specific Duties: introduction of electric drive and controls products, software and hardware, to target customers; review customer applications; select and size BRC products and compile technical proposals; support (technically) direct sales efforts and distribution, integrator efforts toward design wins; generate sample programs and provide startup assistance; communicate non-standard customer requirements to development; conduct product training for reps and distributors, customers and service; prepare trade show demos, perform booth duty, and canvass shows.
Job Requirements : BS in Engineering – electrical engineering preferred. Job Summary: Writing custom software and utilizing software toolkits and database packages for providing the industrial automation level between high level business packages (e.g. SAP, Oracle ERP) and lower level plant control systems. Automation systems at this level are often called Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Looking for highly motivated individual(s) that are eager to work in a strong technical arena with first class engineers that are setting the standard for automation controls for leading edge global companies. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on computers. Related work experiences a plus but not required. Knowledge of modern computer operating systems, databases, and languages (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server). Must know one of the following languages: Visual Basic, C, C++, or C#.
