- ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MUSIC TEACHER
Title: Elementary School Music Teacher Location: Valparaiso, IN Salary/Pay: Unpaid Company: Tall Oaks Christian School Description: Music teacher for a small, multi-age (grades 1-3) class of 4 to 8 students. The music teacher will conduct a 45 to 60 minute class two afternoons a week at sometime during the 12:15 to 2:00 pm tiem frame. Days and times are flexible. The primary emphasis will be on teaching very basic music theory and application on the recorder and possibly some piano, song-leading, and very basic music history/appreciation topics. The school's calendar basically follows VU's academic calendar. Qualifications: Ability to work with children ages 6-10. Ability to plan and execute a one or two semester music program. Extremely reliable and able to work without close supervision. Committed Christian who sets a good personal example for young children. Comments: Part time 2 hours per week.
