A long-time professional in college career services joined Valparaiso University's staff and is providing leadership for comprehensive services that aid students in reaching their career development goals and building relationships with potential employers.

Tom Cath is serving as director of Valpo's Career Center following 25 years of experience as director of career services at DePauw University, where he provided leadership and strategic direction for the institution's career services. Prior to joining DePauw, Cath had commercial lending experience in the banking industry.

He has provided leadership in the career services profession and in the community, including serving as treasurer of the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce.

Cath earned a master's degree in international management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a bachelor's degree in economics from DePauw University.
