Creative Careers

Want to meet a world-famous graphic designer, whose work has received commendations from the Smithsonian and the White House?  How about a professional photographer, a Fulbright Scholar, who teaches at the Art Institute of Chicago?  Just curious about how to make it in the art industry?  Then come to Creative Careers: Part II - ART, hosted by the Career Center and the Art Department!  A panel of professionals will be on hand to tell their career stories and answer your questions.

Thursday, April 11 at 7pm - mark your calendar!  (Harre Union, Ballroom C).  Light refreshments provided.

  • Rick Valicenti, world-renowned graphic designer (
  • Regina Mamou, fine art photographer and instructor at the Art Institute of Chicago
  • Rok Teasley, former art gallery owner and painter, who now works for the Peace Corps
  • Jp Avila, Valpo alumnus who is now the Chair of the Art & Graphic Design Department at Pacific Lutheran University in Seattle.
