Robert Pieters earned his B.A. degree from Valparaiso University in 1967. He is president and chief executive officer of The Lutheran Home Inc., which is a two-campus provider of retirement living and health care services for people of all faiths within the Greater Milwaukee area. Prior to this position, Pieters had a lengthy career in banking, serving as a bank president for 17 years. He has been recognized for his service in various leadership capacities including as president of the YMCA, Make-A-Wish Foundation (Wisconsin Chapter), and Rotary International. He has served as a church treasurer, a school board member and a scout leader. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, a graduate of Officer Candidate School and Army Airborne School, with a Reserve rank of major.
