Student Activities

CoB students have the opportunity to join an array of professional and honors organizations. This experience gives you additional insight into your field of interest along with opportunities to interact with professionals. Professional and honors organizations include:

  • Delta Sigma Pi – worldwide professional business fraternity for men and women This professional business fraternity of men and women worldwide has been organized to foster the study of business in universities, to encourage scholarship and social activity, and to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of business.
  • Collegiate DECA
  • Dean’s Leadership Council – a student advisory council to the Dean The Dean's Leadership Council (DLC) is made up of two students from each class and serves as a liaison between the student body and College of Business faculty and staff.
  • Beta Gamma Sigma – the prestigious national business honor society
  • Alpha Iota Delta – the national honor society for information and decision sciences The local Chi chapter of Alpha Iota Delta has been in existence since 1991. It is an honor society in Decision Sciences and Information Systems. It recognizes students that does exceptional in coursework in Decision Sciences and Information Systems both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
    At both the undergraduate and graduate levels, students must meet a minimum overall threshold GPA. In addition, students must earn even a higher GPA in at least 5 out of 8 selected Mathematics and Information Decision Science courses at the undergraduate level. Similarly at the graduate level, students must earn even have a higher GPA in at least four out of six selected MBA Information and Decision Science courses.
    Alpha Iota Delta membership is a lifelong membership of brotherhood in Decision Sciences and Information Systems for students with more love and aptitude towards solving problems in Decision Science and Information Systems.
