The Valpo Graduate Programs in Management give you a solid foundation in core business functions with emphases on both values-based leadership and environmental stewardship - key skills in the global marketplace.

Our unique seven-week blocks offer professionals and graduate students the flexibility to successfully manage coursework along with other commitments (like a job or family!).

How good are we? The Valpo MBA ranked as one of the five "best-administered programs" in the nation in the Princeton Review's "Best 143 Business Schools".

  • Monday - Thursday schedule.
  • Go full time and complete the program in one year or tailor the program to fit your schedule, typically finishing in 2-3 years.
  • Rolling admissions with six different starting dates.
  • Specializations in Accounting and Law.

What You Get:

Whether you are a professional juggling a career with schooling or a full-time student, our program is designed to fit your needs. You can complete the Valpo MBA in one year through our 38-credit program designed for students with an undergrad business background. Our 36-credit Master of Engineering Management Program can also be completed in one year full-time.

Part-time the Master of Engineering Management Program can be completed in as little as two years and with our 52-credit program you can still have an MBA in two years (or spread the program over as many as five years to fit your lifestyle).

Foundation Courses – 500 level (14 credits)

These graduate-level courses build the foundation for the program and are designed for students without corresponding undergraduate work or for those whose business coursework is not current.

Core Courses – 600 level (26 credits)

These courses form the common base of the MBA and are taken by everyone in the program. The core includes advanced courses in business disciplines in three broad areas:

  • values-based leadership
  • analytical decision making
  • strategic leadership

Enhancement Courses – 700 level (12 credits)

These courses allow you to customize your degree to fit your interests and career goals. A broad selection of courses is taught on a rotating basis including “hot topics” addressing current business trends.

Accounting Specialization

An MBA with this specialization coupled with a 125-hour undergraduate accounting degree satisfies the requirements for taking the Certified Public Accounting exam in most states.

Joint Juris Doctor-MBA

This joint degree program, offered in conjunction with the Valparaiso University School of Law, allows students to complete both degrees in four years.
