God is here: Worship in a wireless world
Valparaiso University is hosting "God is here: Worship in a wireless world," the biennial conference of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, June 30 through July 3, 2013, at the Chapel and at the Harre Union. Some of the highlights include:
  • An opening eucharist with Martin Jean, organ, University Pastor James Wetzstein presiding
  • A hymn festival with David Cherwien and the National Lutheran Choir
  • Bach cantata vespers with the Bach Institute at Valparaiso University
  • Workshops by VU Music Department's Dennis Friesen-Carper, Joseph Bognar, and John Bernthal
  • Organ recital by Martin Jean
All worship services are open to the public without charge.  Tickets for the hymn festival and Martin Jean organ recital are $15 each, available at the door. You do not need to be a member of ALCM to register for the conference.  There are partial registrations available for a singe day's attendance.
