Via Crucis is Good Friday

In addition to the Chapel’s Good Friday services, you have the opportunity to take part in the Via Crucis (“the way of the cross”), a traditional Latin American Good Friday procession where actors portray the 12 Stations of the Cross along the way. It will begin at about 4 p.m. on April 10, 2009 at Heritage Lutheran Church, 308 Washington St., and end at the northern lawn of the VU School of Law.

The Via Crucis is a procession, not a parade, sponsored by Gloria Dei Hispanic Mission, and is described as a pilgrimage or walking service. The mission members invite the public to travel with the procession in its journey along Michigan Avenue to Brown Street and College Avenue, ending on the campus. The service will be in Spanish and in English.
