We are pleased to announce that top honors for the Chapel’s inaugural “Easter Peeps® Show went to the staff of the Office of Church Relations, for their entry “Jesus Heals a Peepalitic.” Congratulations to Deb Albers, Susan Collins and Dionne Wisniewski for being named Peeps Mavens for 2010.
The challenge of the competition was to make a diorama of a scene from a Bible story. The only rule: all of the characters in the diorama must be played by Peeps®. Faculty, students and staff, as well as alumni, were eligible to enter. All of the entries were judged according to the criteria of overall presentation and attention to craft; Biblical accuracy and artistic merit with extra credit in this category through design references to famous works of Biblical art. Judges were: Gretchen Buggeln, Phyllis and Richard Duesenberg Chair in Christianity and the Arts; Gregg Hertzlieb, Director of the Brauer Museum of Art; and Fred Niedner, Professor of Theology.

+Best Use of Ancient Technology to Jacob Just, “Four Peeps® Un-S’mored - The Firey Furnace.”
+Best Dressed Peeps® to Jessica Sophy, for “The Closing of the Lion’s Mouth by an Angel Sent from God for Daniel.”
+As Pedantic as a Biblical Geneology Award to Liz Wuerffel and Allison Schuette for “Peepeology.”
+Most Art-Historically Accurate to the Wetzstein family for “The Presentation of the Head of John the Peepist.”
