Think camp! Think about being a volunteer at a special needs camp this December.
Walcamp, a year-round outdoor ministry in Kingston, IL, about 70 miles west of Chicago, is seeking individuals who could assist with their annual winter retreat for adults and children with disabilities Dec. 4-6. The program enables them to come to camp where they sing songs, have a Christmas pageant, go bowling, make Christmas cookies, hear Bible studies and more.
Enrollment has increased for this year and Walcamp is in need of 8 to 10 additional female volunteers. They would be the main caregiver for their camper for the whole weekend, starting Friday, Dec. 4th at 6 p.m. with a volunteer orientation and training, and ending Sunday, Dec. 6th at 11 a.m. Experience in working with people with disabilities is not necessary.
