- Peeps Contest Winners
- The winners in the Chapel’s second annual “Easter Peeps® Show” were recently announced at Morning Prayer.
The award for Best Visual Narrative and the 2011 overall “Peeps Maven” went to Hilary Madinger for “Paul’s Killer Sermon.”
Other awards given were:
Most Appetizing: “The First Peeple in Garden of Eatin’ ” by Sarah Degner Fields, Anna Fields, John Fields, and Mary Fields.
Most Art Historical: “The Last Peeper” by Jen and Adam Miller.
Second Annual Award for Best Use of Fire: “The Story of Job: Chapters 1 & 2” by Johnna Venuto and Emily Von Qualen.
Most Visually Compelling: “Peeper Says “Help Me, Lord,’ ” by the Center for Church Relations.
Special Commendation for Use of Seasonally Appropriate Secondary Materials: “Jesus Raises his Favorite Peep – Lazarus,” by Jessica McCallum
Special Commendation for Peeps-themed Metaphorical Flourish: “The Feeding of the 5,000 (Peeps),” by Chris Larson & Kate Guidera.
Each entry was a diorama of a scene from a Bible story with all of the characters in the diorama played by Peeps® marshmallow candies. Thanks also to our judges for the contest – Gretchen Buggeln, Gregg Hertzlieb, and Fred Niedner.
