Campus Vigil is Oct. 11

Tragic events at several universities across the nation over the past few weeks call each of us to reflect on how we, as members of the Valparaiso University community, model compassion and respect for the dignity of each person who calls this place home. President Heckler has asked us to redouble our commitment to be a caring and compassionate community, one which models living and learning together in an environment of civility and mutual respect, even when our views of the world, our faith beliefs, and our lifestyles may differ and be in conflict. On Monday, Oct. 11th, at 6 p.m. a campus vigil will be held at the Chapel. It will begin outside, between the Chapel and the Christopher Center near the tree dedicated to Pastor Darlene. Please join us.
