Quilts for local veterans to be displayed in Chapel

quilts of valor

The Military Veterans Law Association is partnering with the Quilts of Valor Foundation to offer a quilt showing at the Chapel of the Resurrection on Wednesday, Dec. 5. The quilts will be on display from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. so that all members of the University and local communities can view them and appreciate the local human cost of the war.

The Quilts of Valor provides handmade quilts for American servicemen and women. They are rushing to provide quilts for all members of the Indiana National Guard 713th Engineer Co. in honor of their service in Afghanistan, from where they just returned, minus 6 of their comrades. About 100 quilts will be displayed on the pews at the Chapel before they are presented to the unit during a ceremony Dec. 8.
