Distinguished Chemistry Scholarship

• $5000/yr
• Renewable by maintaining a chemistry major with a 3.0 GPA.

Awarded to an incoming first year chemistry major who is likely to continue on to receive a Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry. The student must file an application with the department by January 20, 2012. An application form can be requested from either the department chair or the Office of Admission (www.valpo.edu/admission/) .

Edith S. Lessor Memorial Scholarships

• Renewable by maintaining a chemistry major with a 3.0 GPA.

Awarded to female chemistry majors. Some are awarded to incoming students and some are awarded to current students. Contact the chemistry department chair for details.

Awarded to incoming first year chemistry majors. These scholarships are awarded at the same time as the Distinguished Chemistry Scholarship. Contact the chemistry department chair for details.

• Non-renewable one time award

Awarded to a junior chemistry major in the pre-medical arts program.

Awarded to the top first year student taking General Chemistry

Undergraduate Award for Achievement in Organic Chemistry

Awarded to the top student taking Organic Chemistry

Undergraduate Award in Analytical Chemistry

Awarded to the top third year student in the area of Analytical Chemistry
