Musicians, ask your private teacher or conductor to submit an 2009 AIYO Chinese Culture Tour Recommendation Form.  Return this application to Professor Meng ASAP.

Then apply for a passport; we will assist your visa application. 

 

Cost: Fees for participating musicians and students reflect substantial underwriting of expenses in China by the Confucius Institute.  The tour package includes international travel (via Chicago) and transportation departing from and returning to Valparaiso University. It also includes lodging, all meals, admission to sightseeing sites, performing expenses, and educational presentations and activities inside China. Food and lodging for the mandatory preparation rehearsals July 12 & 13 are available on the Valpo campus for $96.70 without air conditioning or $105.50 with air conditioning. The tour package does not include US passport expenses and China entry visa fee ($130).

 

$2000 – performing student musicians (high school and college)

$2500 – non-performing students

$3200 – accompanying adults

 

The first payment of $1,000 is due on March 15; the balance is due on May 1, 2009.
