Colloquium

1.   Introduction

Colloquium

Colloquium in Chinese and Japanese Studies offers CJS majors a unique opportunity of collective learning and bonding. Through presentations by student and faculty and lectures by guest speakers, CJS majors can learn much about each other as much as they learn from the discipline.

Colloquium in CJS is required for all majors with sophomore standing and up and carries a 0.5 credit per semester and up to 3 credits total. Freshman majors are encourage to register for Colloquium as soon they enter VU especially for those who plan to spend at least one semester abroad while pursuing an undergraduate degree at VU.

The director of the Colloquium for the 2010-2011 academic year is Dr. Brent Whitefield (History department). For more information, please contact her at 464-6965 or (brent.whitefield@valpo.edu).
