BiographyProfessor Jaishankar Raman received his B.A. in economics from Bombay University, M.A. in economics from Fordham University, and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame. He joined the Valparaiso University faculty in 1995 and has taught courses such as Principles of Economics, International Economics, Development Economics and Intermediate Economic Theory. His research interest focuses on economics of liberalization, market reforms and their impact on economies (India, Mexico and China), and role of the State in economic development.
